Civil aviation authorities in Europe are responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of air transportation within their respective countries. They are also responsible for issuing licenses to airlines and pilots, and for investigating accidents.
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is the highest civil aviation authority in Europe. EASA is responsible for setting safety standards for all aircraft operating in Europe, and for ensuring that these standards are met. EASA also has the authority to investigate accidents and to take enforcement action against airlines and pilots who violate safety regulations.
As appointed EASA Form 04 holder, I received delegation by the German LBA to perform various aircraft acceptances on different types for Authority acceptance after import to Germany. Such step is usually executed by an authority aircraft surveyor and rarely transferred to individuals.
Therefore I did Import inspection and operator acceptance same as Airworthiness reviews under delegate supervision for training reason.
On behalf of the LBA, I acted as Liaison officer towards Danish Civil Aviation authority for the transfer of oversight according bilateral agreement and Art.83bis ICAO. I suceed with the first transfer over of oversight ion 2016 between DCAA and LBA.
In 2016 I assisted the danish aviation authorities for the first transfer of oversight. A danish aircraft operator decided to change from his local CAMO and AOC to a German commercial air operator.
During this transfer i provided DCAA with a training and guiudance through and on the process in order to mkae this first transfer a success in timely manner.
Both operators and owner as well as Civil aviation authorities where super satisfied in the way and speed this was managed.
In 2018 i was formally request by the DGCA to accept authority delegation in order to coordinate the survey, analysis and recovery of an aircraft fatal accident with serious injury and aircraft loss.
As usual, an airport is highly frequented and requires uninterrupted operation, wherefore fast response for scene analysis and FDR/CVR recovery was needed.
Another complex task is the recovery of the wreckage and insurance analysis.
